"Long seen as overly stiff, jewelry design is becoming light and trendy thanks to a new generation of inspired creators.
Bolder and less formulaic, this new wave is no longer afraid to offer original pieces. These designers, no longer coming from established houses, arrive with ease, much like a new fashion label would. This is the case for Marie Cabirou, who, after working as a designer for Dior’s costume jewelry line, has just launched her own label, Marie Mas, featuring colorful gemstone jewelry. “I don’t like the idea of disposable collections. On the contrary, I want to create designs that transcend generations. A piece of jewelry can sometimes be intimidating; it’s not always easy to make it your own and wear it daily. That’s what I want to change,” explains the designer."
