"For the first time at Vicenzaoro, at The Design Room, designer Marie Cabirou presents Marie Mas, her brand of special "reversible" jewels.

"I love adding a touch of magic and playfulness to my jewels," explains Marie Cabirou, founder of the brand Marie Mas, one of the most interesting and innovative newcomers in The Design Room, a format that, as always, animates the hall of the Icon community. The French designer is presenting her sophisticated style, fueled by experience working at the important maison Dior and by a great passion for experimenting with new techniques, which have helped give life to very unique mechanisms. Her jewels are designed to create harmonious movements that adapt to the personality of those who wear them. An ingenious mechanism allows gems to rotate and change colors, creating a bewitching "dancing" effect. «I look for movement, the poetry that lies in the complexity of some mechanisms. My jewels come to life when they are worn,» she explains. «I had thought about using diamonds for my creations for a while, I’ve always been attracted to the beauty and timeless elegance of these stones. I am truly excited I could.» In fact, her latest collection is called Swinging Diamonds and it has thirteen new pieces (six rings and six pairs of earrings), featuring a playful and modern design and the "reversible" silhouette, in which pure-white diamonds are paired with intensely colored precious stones, such as tourmaline. The new collection is inspired by biomimetics, the mysteries of the underwater world and elements in nature.
