THE EYE OF JEWELRY: Comment les joailliers bousculent les codes du mariage pour le moderniser
Men’s engagement rings, a collection of mixed wedding bands designed for all kinds of combinations — this season, a breeze of modernity is sweeping through the institution of marriage. For a union that celebrates love and inclusion!
Marie Mas presents “U & I”, a gender-neutral ring collection to celebrate unions.
For her first foray into the world of weddings, the Marie Mas founder wanted to create a collection that reflects her own vision, staying true to the brand’s DNA of movement and color. “I work closely with my clients on creating bespoke pieces to celebrate their love or union — these are very special and magical moments. This inspired me to develop a dedicated collection, creating a permanent line of MARIE MAS wedding bands with a minimalist design for both men and women,” explains Marie Cabirou, Founder & Creative Director of MARIE MAS.
Comprising two ring shapes, symbolically inspired by the letters in the collection’s name — “U” and “I” — the rings can be worn individually or assembled using an ingenious mechanism to form a “WE” ring. Wanting to give couples great freedom to personalize their bands, Marie Cabirou created a bold color palette, playing with contrasts between three shades of gold and green, pearly, or gray lacquers, while emphasizing finishes (matte, polished) to enhance the overall effect. “The beauty of this line is that each partner can wear a ring knowing that the two pieces form a whole,” shares the designer.
